James Henderson was the founder and has been Chairman of Transocean Securities Pty Ltd since 1987. He has over 30 years’ experience in providing financial advisory services in Australia and overseas across a wide range of industries including healthcare and medical devices, aged care, clean energy and natural resources. He specialises in providing advice to emerging companies relating to corporate transactions and strategies, including corporate advice, financial structuring, capital raisings and commercial negotiations. He has led teams on a variety of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, takeovers and capital raisings particularly in Australia, Canada, the UK, the USA and Africa. He is an experienced board member, chief executive officer and corporate adviser.
Prior to Transocean Mr Henderson was National Chairman at Sothertons Chartered Accountants specialising in taxation and corporate structures.
Mr Henderson is on the board of a number listed and non-listed companies including:
- Founder and Director of Mirus Australia since 2010. Mirus Australia was established in 2010 to provide comprehensive advisory services to the Aged Care sector with a focus on residential aged care providers. Mirus is now the leading aged care advisory group in Australia of which Mr Henderson’s involvement has been key. He has worked closely with the Board and management to provide corporate advice since its establishment, in developing the corporate strategy and advising on strategic and practical matters. Transocean remains as a major shareholder.
- Founder and Director of Prostacare Pty Ltd since 2014. Prostacare is developing a neural medical device to treat benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) in men. - - Transocean founded Prostacare in 2014 and acquired a world leading technology for the treatment of BPH from a US private company and created a world class management team. Transocean leads the company’s capital raising and corporate strategy initiatives and has raised in excess of $3.5 million for this Company.
